We machine mostly aluminum. Proper cooIant application is critical when trying to achieve the best possible cycle time. We have (2) Haas VMCs, both with their “P’Cool” coolant nozzle option, so when we purchased the Hurcos we were looking for a similar feature. Our Hurco distributor, Brooks Associates, offered SpiderCool “automated coolant nozzles” as an option. Fred Furtak, machinist says; “SpiderCool couldn’t be easier to operate”.

We are delighted with the SpiderCools because they offer additional features such as a precise coolant position to (0.1degree) or a variable oscillation cycle for every tool. We are presently considering SpiderCools for our Mazak VMCs.
